On-time arrivals and drop-offs are a must, as many of our riders are going to essential appointments like medical visits, work, and family obligations.

✅ Paratransit (Para) Pay

What it is: 💵 A $3/hour flat increase added to all eligible hours you drive Paratransit.

How it’s applied:

  • Added on top of your base hourly rate.

  • Standard pay with Para Pay = $31.82/hour before fees.

  • You still earn North Zone Pay if applicable.

  • You’re still eligible for 45+ hour promotions.

How it appears on your earnings statement:

  • Listed as Paratransit Hourly Adjustment, which includes your additional $3/hour.

Timing:

  • Para Pay adjustments are manually added every Monday.

  • It will not appear on your initial earnings preview before Monday — only on your earnings statement.

  • For any pay issues, contact Anastasia, Field Manager, directly.


🛠️ Training & Requirements

Before you start driving on your own:

  • PASS Training: A 4-hour certification class required before providing Paratransit service.

  • First Day Ride-Along: With Anastasia (Field Manager) or Justin (General Manager) to review expectations and procedures.

  • Service Alignment: We’ll make sure you’re fully comfortable with Paratransit and answer any questions.

Uniform Requirements:

  • Shirts with sleeves (no tank tops)

  • Solid color knee-length shorts or pants

  • Closed-toe shoes

Paratransit Scheduling

📅 Paratransit Drivers Expectations

Attendance:

  • Be on time for your shift and every ride — rides may start as early as 20 minutes after your shift begins.

  • Notify us as soon as possible if you can’t drive a scheduled shift. You can cancel as normal if more than 24 hours’ in advance.

  • For late cancellations, contact support so rides can be reassigned, especially if less than 24 hours’ in advance.

  • If possible, release shifts 24+ hours in advance. To minimize impact on Paratransit operations.

Available Drive Times:

  • 6 AM – 4 PM

  • 7 AM – 5 PM

  • 8 AM – 8 PM

When additional rides don’t fit within these scheduled times, drivers in the respective zone may be reassigned to Paratransit.
