Tips for Smooth Driving with Via

A few important things to remember to keep the experience of driving with Via as smooth as possible:

Can’t stop right at the designated corner?

  • 1. Text Via Ops where you are waiting!

    Let us know how far down the block and which side of the street you are on!

  • 2. We’ll tell the rider!

    We’ll let the rider know where to find you so you can get going!

Can’t find a rider?

  • 1. Wait & Look

    Check that you’re at the correct corner and try and spot your rider

  • 2. Text Via Ops

    Send the Via Ops Team a text that you are waiting for the rider

  • 3. Coordinate with Via Ops

    Wait for Via Ops to text back with the plan

    Do not press No Show unless you’ve received approval from Via Ops

Ending Shift

  • 1. Text Via 20 mins before

    Send us a text at least 20 mins before you need to leave so that we can make sure you don’t receive more rides

  • 2. No Rides? Tap End Shift

    Just tap End Shift if you don’t have any upcoming rides

  • 3. Make sure to tap End Shift before closing the app

    Always tap End Shift before you turn off the iPad or close the Via Driver App
